Good Shepherd Day School has served the community of Rocky Mount for 60 years. Starting out as a Kindergarten program for parishioners, it is now a five-star rated state-accredited day care center. The day school serves a socio-economically, racially, and religiously diverse population. Starting at six weeks of age, an average of 50 children spend their day in a structured environment full of love and care. The school is staffed by early childhood care professionals who intellectually and emotionally nourish the children until they are ready to leave for Kindergarten. Roughly one half of the families at Good Shepherd Day School receive subsidies through various organizations, including Edgecombe and Nash County Social Services.
